I'm Alexander Harris, a creative photographer based in Greater Manchester with a focus on analogue processes, street photography and the industrial landscape of the North West.

My work is rooted in the physicality of film. From shooting 35mm on the street to spending evenings in the darkroom with lith chemistry, I'm drawn to the unpredictability and craft that digital can't replicate.

heavygrain started as a personal archive and grew into a place to share projects, process notes, and published work.
